Towards the end of August, we celebrate our cultural day in the context of the
Onam celebration. This occasion gives us an opportunity to reflect on the history of
marginalized people in Kerala. Harvest represents hope for a new age, overcoming
painful pasts, and the vision of a new heaven and new earth. Let us remember the
generations who toiled in the soil, building the nation and sacrificing their lives for
its freedom.
I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to each and every one of you for your
dedication and enthusiasm in learning the scriptures and liturgy through the
‘Scripture Bee’. It has provided us with a wonderful platform to engage with the
scriptures in a meaningful way, and I am delighted to see the passion with which
you have embraced it.
I would like to request your support and participation in the forthcoming Senior
Sunday School Camp, scheduled to take place at the end of September. This camp
promises to be an enriching experience, providing opportunities for fellowship,
learning, and spiritual rejuvenation. So I request to the parents to encourage your
children from Year 7 onwards to be a part of this camp. It will undoubtedly be a
transformative experience for them, fostering their spiritual growth and
strengthening their foundation in faith.
On a joyful note, I extend a warm welcome to our newly baptized babies, Josiah
Jacob (son of Jerin & Merin) and Hazel Elsa Sumod (daughter of Sumod & Rincy).
Also, we welcome new members and families, Yohann & Swetha, Bobin & Shimi,
Anit & Rina, Jerry Jacob John, and Ajay Jacob Alexander. May the Lord bless them
abundantly on their journey ahead.
May this month of August be a time of reflection, reformation, and compassion as
we live according to the Word of God and walk in His ways.
May the name of the Almighty God be exalted.
SHALOM
